The song achieved success in the UK, peaking at No. 12 in the UK Charts.
Written by Steve Harris the bassist and founder-member Iron Maiden. The song is about the Battle of Balaclava, which took place during the Crimean War, and inspired by Lord Tennyson's poem of the same name.
