Reading festival is over and what a fantastic weekend it was with so many exciting things to talk about, let getting straight into the Reading Festival Recap!
Reading Festival is one of the largest festivals in the UK attracting over 90'000 attendees, but the site it's self doesn't seem that big compared to similar festivals of this size.
Things where easy to find like Toilets, Showers and First Aid Tents, However shops and food stalls seemed as if they where randomly dropped places on the map, and didn't make sense.
Rather then having a dedicated area (village) for shopping and food stalls that other festivals have,
Reading crams everything in to the Main Arena meaning at peak times the
top of the Main Arena by Stages 2 and 7 can be very congested.
In the camping fields there is a lot of routes you can take to and from the Main Arena which is great when you imagine nearly the whole festival walking back to camp after Eminem's set on the Saturday!
On the approach to the the festival we were amazed that there was no ques into the festival, but also a little shocked to see not one bag being checked.
Security during the whole festival was very questionable,
Often not checking people going in to the area which after the recent attacked on a well know area event it was ludicrous.
To put in sort words Security was very slack.
Prices are as expected, We suggest you take as much food as you can, we lived of instant noodles for the three days, you can get hot water from the food stall for £1.00.
With the mixed line up at this year at Reading and Leeds festival, it worked well hopping from stage to stage and seeing bands that I wouldn't normally see, but also surprising us with secrete sets from Queens of the stone age, Wolf Alice and Don Broco.
Altogether would Verzed go to Reading Festival again?
Yes we would, it was a lot of fun and as long as the line up was good, I wouldn't even think twice about buying my Ticket!
Keep an eye out for upcoming reviews of some line up to R&L Festival .....
