Northlane - Mesmer - Album Review.

A Surprising album release from the Aussie based metal-core band and we enjoyed the sh*t out of it!

Put on you Windbreaker on, SnapBak backwards, your AIR MAXES prime place and strap yourself in for this two stepping metal-core adventure.

Mesmer is the forth studio album from Northlane and it takes the already great band to a whole new level!

Taking it back to more of a traditional sound, Marcus Bridge doesn't mind dishing out the clean singing but also reminding you 'yes we still do the screams' bringing the album back to it metal-core roots!

Our favourite track on the album is Paragon, it's oddly satisfying beginning of the shredding of guitars it really hypes up the tension. Confirmed in a Facebook live Q&A The song is dedicated to the former guitarist Tom Steel of Architects and touches the heartstrings of all of us in the office. We suggest you check out the lyrics Here.

That being said we can imagine this song at the start of a live show splitting the crowd instantly and creating some two stepping mosh pit madness.

The album it's self doesn't really experiment with anything too much different from the previous album but production and writing is a lot better then before and we can see this creating a wider fan base.

This Whole album tells you straight 'We are Northlane a band ready to f*ck sh*t up!'

VerZed.TV Gave this Album a score of 8.5 and gets our STAMP OF APPROVAL TO BUY IT!
