Love or hate them you cannot deny that Bring me the horizon have been pretty popular as of late, and with a backlog of 5 studio albums and countless sold out live shows, We take a look back at the top 10 songs.

 

10. Drown.

Released in 2014 and was featured on the album 'That's the spirit' It was described by critics as other types of rock, including alternative rock, emo, and pop punk, also being described as "arena rock fire"

 

9. Blessed with a Curse.

Released in 2010 and was featured on the album 'There is a hell, believe me I've seen it. There is a heaven, lets keep it a Secret' The band described Oliver Sykes' lyric writing as "personal" and "darker and moodier"

 

8. Blasphemy.

Released in 2015 and was featured on the album 'That's the Spirit' and marks a departure from the group's metalcore roots, in favour of a less aggressive rock style.

 

7. Sleep with one eye open (Tek-one remix).

Released in 2009 and was featured on the album 'Suicide Season: Cut Up!' Oliver Sykes in Interview states that "There's not a song on there that really sounds like the original. What's great though is the diversity of each song"

 

6. Pray for Plagues.

Released in 2006 and was featured on the album 'Count your blessings'' The album received some negative reviews, although it still reached #98 on the UK Albums Chart.

 

5. Throne.

Released in 2015 and was featured on the album 'That's the spirit' Reaching number 51 on the UK Singles Chart and topping the UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart. Oliver Sykes explained that "Throne" was one of the first songs the band wrote for the album to be considered for release as a single, claiming that "it felt like our comeback song"

 

4. Go To Hell, For Heaven's Sake .

Released in 2013 and was featured on the album 'Sempiternal' Vocalist Oliver Sykes proclaimed that the band "were after a faster, more fun song to pick up the pace", calling it "probably the funnest track on the CD"

 

3. Shadow Moses.

Released in 2013 and was featured on the album 'Sempiternal' Reaching number 82 on the UK Singles Chart. The track is named after the main setting of the 1998 video game Metal Gear Solid, the closing theme of which is referenced in the song's opening vocal line. "Shadow Moses" was critically acclaimed upon its release and is one of the band's most frequently-performed songs at live shows.

 

2. Chelsea Smile.

Released in 2008 and was featured on the album 'Suicide Season' According to the website setlist.fm, "Chelsea Smile" is the song performed most frequently at shows.It has been included in the set lists of several high-profile shows, including the band's performances at Wembley Arena in 2014, Reading and Leeds Festivals in 2015 and Alexandra Palace as part of the That's the Spirit Tour in 2015!

 

1. Antivist.

Released in 2013 and was featured on the album 'Sempiternal' According to Bring Me the Horizon bassist Matt Kean, "Antivist" was originally written "as a joke ... when everyone was kind of like bored", but was later worked on for inclusion on Sempiternal due to its "super aggressive" nature providing a different element for the album.
